It was a very interesting time and a new impression for us. It was the first time that we had a guest from Japan but we really enjoyed the visit. Our guest was very friendly. We think one week is too short, two weeks would be better to get to know each other. We had a lot of fun with our guest and we hope that he also had a good time in our family. He did not really talk that much, so we are not sure how he liked it. We like the idea of the home stay - this way they get a good job impression on how we live.

Gastfamilie von Ayano (12 Jahre)
We had a wonderful time with Ayano from Chiba City. It was an inspiring experience hosting her for a week in our family. Ayano is a very sweet girl, open-minded to everything we could show her in our surrounding and culture. It was great to see that she loved to taste all food and she adopted so nicely to our life. We hope she enjoyed the time with us, too. It is very brave of these small girls and boys to travel all by themselves to another country and spend time with families they don't know and their language they don't speak. All in all, we had an ejoyable experience and we can and will recommend hosting a hippo club member to other families, too.

Gastfamilie von Kaori (13 Jahre)
Kaori was a nice and friendly girl. There was a good relationship to our daughters Lisa and Laura. There were no problems anyway. She was always in a good mood and wanted to help at home. Kaori is very interested in all things of our five. It was a pleasure to have her in our family. We hope we see her soon. She is always welcome. We wish her good luck!

Gastfamilie von Amane (12 Jahre)
Amane is a very nice and friendly girl, so we had a pleasant week together.

It was the first we accept a foreign student for a homestay week and we do not regret it. It is because of our young guest who was very well-mannered and good, but also inquired and blithe. We had much fun together in this week and it was very interesting for us to see a little into a foreign civilization. We learned a lot about japanese family life, food, language and culture. It also was an interesting thing for us to show someone an insight of our life. We had much fun with Akito while showing our country, our food and our daily life. For our son Louis it was a good experience to explain someone thing in a foreign language. The organisation by Dr. Frank and by Hippo Family Club was nearly perfect. Therefore, we enjoyed this week very much and for all family members, it passed too quickly. We hope to have an ongoing realtionship with Akito and wish him all the best for his future.
