Preparation course in German
In order for students to be well-prepared for their exchange year in Germany, we offer a preparation course in German in the city of Mannheim. The language course takes place right before the Soft Landing Camp, in the same city.
We recommend everyone who needs to refresh or improve their German skills to attend the language course. This course helps students to have the best possible start to their High School adventure.
About the language course
The course takes place at a language school in central Mannheim. Students will attend school for 5 hours per day, with breaks in-between, from Monday–Friday.
The German classes have been specially designed to provide knowledge in German as well as information about German traditions and customs. Students will go through grammar and vocabulary basics, learn useful expressions, and participate in quizzes and games with their classmates. Each lesson will take them one step closer to achieving their goals: to feel more confident and to communicate better in German.
After the classes and on the weekends, students will be able to enjoy life in Germany together with our staff and students. Trips are offered daily, whether to the local soccer field, the swimming pool or to cities such as Frankfurt and Heidelberg.
Accommodation & meals
During the length of the language course, students will stay at a nice and clean hostel in the city centre. They will share a room with other exchange students. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included every day of the language course.
