Valeska in Missouri

Only two monthts left

At the beginning of April I finally went to St. Louis (with my host mom, host sister and the other german exchange student) and saw the Gateway Arch. The Arch is pretty much the most famous thing to see in St. Louis and it definitely was exciting.

We took the elevator to the top and we could see over the entire city which was pretty cool.

One day it was one of my best friend’s birthday, so we just had a little get together and went to a restaurant. We all spent the night, watched movies and played games which was a lot of fun.

Then we finally had our spring break and my host family and I flew to San Francisco. For the first few days we stayed with friends at their beach house in Monterey. We walked around, saw a lot and ate a lot of good food. Every night me and my host sister just sat on the rocks at the beach and watched the sunset which was beautiful.

A few days later we drove to San Francisco and stayed there at a hotel. We saw the Fisherman’s Wharf, The Golden Gate Bridge, The Lombard Street and a few more places. At the last day Mia and I went to the concert of her favorite band which was for sure a lot of fun but way too crowded.

When school started again we had the All Abilities Prom, which is a prom for the special needs kids in our school ( they can also go to the normal prom, but it just gives them a little bit more attention and they all love it!). We in Student Council plan this event and it turned out to be so much fun! It made me so happy to see how much they enjoyed themselves.

At the end of the month I picked up my best friend’s new puppy with her. The ride was pretty long but it was definitely worth it because he’s so cute!
